Our Story & Philosophy

Of all things,
why the Moon?

Jyun is the Garhwali word for moon — a name born of time spent in the Garhwal Himalayas, where the mountains shaped everything this community has become. Since time in the Garhwal Himalayas has inspired and influenced a lot of what Jyun is, the name is an honour paid to a place and a people that have given much.

"The world expects your full moon. Your community stands by you in your waning moon, considers your new moon a clean slate, cherishes your waxing, and celebrates your full."

That is what Jyun aspires to be — a space that holds all your phases. Not just a destination, but a community that travels with you through each one. The moonphase motif that runs through everything we do is not decoration. It is a reminder of why we do what we do.
